Studio Update

15th November 2017

As the seasons change so does my artwork. I am loving the contrasts between bright yellow leaves with backdrops moody grey skies. My most recent painting is an autumn silver birch and I intend on producing more woodland paintings. When the ground is dramp and the wildflowers are limited this time of year, I look to the forest for my obsession with colour. Last weekend I visited Brandon Country Park and just wow, its truely is a stunning place to visit this time of year.

Gallery News

18th September 2017

My paintings are currently in 'Pocock's the artmonger', a Gallery in the equintessentially english village of Burnham Market near the North Norfolk coast. The lovely Laura Pocock has a eclectic art gallery stocking contemporary and tradtional works of art. Laura hold various exhibtions at the gellery and currently stocks Tracey Ross paintings, Tracey produces stunning paintings of huge north norfolk skies and coastline. I instantly fell in love with her artwork on visiting the gallery.

Studio update

14th August 2017

I am currently on holiday with my family on the beautiful Isle of Wight. I'm finding plenty of inspiration for artwork for next years show, dramatic coastline and rambling fields of wildflowers, an artists heaven. I am also currently working on various commissions which I look forward to completing when I'm back home. My new studio is slow progress I'm afraid but I hope to be in by the Autumn. Working in the dining room with two feral childing running riot has its challenges!!! Heres of few holiday picks of my awesome family for your amusement.

And commissions in progress.....

Smallwood Farmhouse

July 2017

I had the pleasure of being invited back to Smallwood Farmhouse, Smallwood Green, Suffolk. It is stunning quintessentially english farmhouse with an equally beautiful garden complete with Meadow and Pond. The house is suffolk pink with a thatched roof and the current owners have spent the last 25 years restoring the house and creating a garden that compliments it. Many flowers have selfseeded and are left to flourish creating a feeling of rhythm and unity.

In the not too distant future I will be creating a series of paintings inspired by this garden. I hope I can paint something that really shows off the beauty of the garden and that gives you the feeling of peace and tranquility that the garden gave me.

Art Show Success

12 June 2017

Wow what a fantastic day. Thank you everyone for supporting me and sharing what was my first Solo Art Exhibition with a good result of selling 9 paintings in just a few hours. Wildwood Gallery are in the process of delivering paintings to their new owners and the studio is looking empty once more, but ready for the many commissions I have received. I met so many inspirational people on Sunday and feel very proud to have raised an amazing amount of money for the GeeWiz Charity. Already the next event is on the horizon, if you would like to be kept up to date with any future events please get in touch and I will add you to my mailing list. Once again thank you Wildwood Gallery for representing me and Maison Bleue for hosting what was a wonderful day.

Update from the studio

9th May 2017

I am very bury at the moment getting ready for my next Art event at Maison Bleue in Bury St Edmunds. In recent weeks I have completed various Bluebell paintings from Bradfiels Woods and I am currently working on a Poppy painting. With Spring well underway and Summer just around the corner inspiration for my artwork is plentiful. A fresh change in season has such a positive uplifting feeling and I believe these emotions help me create my best work. I hope you enjoy this time of year as such as I do.

18th April 2017

My latest addition - Verbena and Cow Parsley

Why I love Ickworth so much!

10th April 2017

I love visiting the national trust at Ickworth, it gives me so much inspiration for my artwork. It is a beautiful place whatever time of year you visit and it reminds me of why I love the stunning English countryside so very much. Ickworth is also where Ian proposed to me in the Spring of 2011. We now take our two children to Ickworth and have spent many happy family days exploring the grounds with picnic in hand.

This is the second Ickworth Wild Flower painting I have done. It was painted from a number of photos I took last summer in the Walled Garden. It becomes a sea of wild flowers in the summer, it is such a magical place and you can alomost see a mist of pollen rising up. My first Ickworth painting is going to be Raffled at Maison Bleue on June 11th and this one will be available to buy at the event too.

Finished this wild poppy field today

Happy Birthday Nanny

17th March 2017

Today is a very special day for my family, it would have been my Nanny's 94th Birthday today. She was an amazing inspirational lady and we all miss her very much xxxxx

Loving the sky!

14th March 2017

I am most certainly obsessed with the sky, from warm sunsets, misty pink sunrises and these fluffly white candyfloss clouds appearing and disappearing all the time. The sky never fails to satisfy my need for colour and light. Here I am painting from a photo I took last summer - a suffolk field of wildflowers on a warm summers afternoon. Keep checking back for more updates. x

Wicken Fen and no Alien Spacecraft!!!

12th March 2017

Just finished this painting of Wicken Fen sunset. I have painted over it 3 times!!!! because the clouds seem to look like Alien Spacecraft instead of the calm night clouds they were supposed to be. The images that follow this show my errors going along but I'm pleased with the final result.

Finished this colour explosion

5th March 2017

Another wild flower painting finished today. Rapeseed, Red Campion and Buttercups on paper, it will be framed in the next few weeks. I have used Acrylic paints and inks with some watercolour paints too. I really love the colours. Green in spring is so bright and lush looking and the rapeseed often looks luminous. Not long now for bright Spring colours to adorn our fields and hedgerows xxx

My First Post!

3rd March 2017

Today I have been adding some finishing touches to my Orwell Estuary painting. The photo I have used for inspiration was taken on Boxing Day last year, yes its hard to believe it was taken on a freezing cold day in suffolk, it looks so warm and tropical. I hope you like it.....
